I’ve painted this piece to catch that magic moment on the Maidstone riverfront when the sky is fading, the lamps click on and the water turns into a sheet of colour. You’ve got the glow of streetlights along the path, reflections dancing on the river and the bridges and town skyline sitting quietly in the distance.
It’s a brilliant one if you like artwork with a bit of drama but still want something calm and reflective. The deep blues and warm oranges make it ideal above a sofa, in a snug, or even by a reading chair where you want that “evening walk by the river” feel without leaving the house.

Printed on thick 344 gsm, 17.5 mil canvas, the colours stay rich and moody, so those inky blues and warm lamplight tones keep their depth for years. You can choose a poplar hardwood floater frame in black, white or oak – each one 1 cm wide on the front and 4 cm deep at the side, so the artwork appears to “float” in the frame, just like the lights floating on the river.
