How to Choose the Right Hallway Wall Art
Your hallway is the first room every guest sees and the last room you walk through before you leave the house. It deserves more than a bare wall.
The right piece of hallway wall art sets the tone for your entire home — and with the bold, vibrant designs at Framed Pop Art, it can also become the most talked-about feature in your house.
Finding Your Hallway Style
The best hallway art is the art that feels unmistakably you. At Framed Pop Art, our collection leans into bold colour, contemporary design, and a sense of fun — but within that, there is a wide range of moods to explore.
| Style | Best For | What to Look For |
|---|---|---|
| Bold Pop Art | Making a dramatic statement | High-contrast colours, graphic shapes, iconic imagery |
| Abstract & Geometric | Modern, minimalist hallways | Clean lines, limited colour palettes, structured compositions |
| Inspirational Quotes | Adding warmth and personality | Typography-led designs, motivational messaging |
| Botanical & Nature | Bringing the outside in | Florals, foliage, organic shapes in a contemporary frame |
Sizing and placement guide
Getting the scale right is as important as choosing the right design. A print that is too small will look lost on a large wall; one that is too large can overwhelm a narrow corridor.
Above a console table
Choose a single statement piece that is roughly two-thirds the width of the furniture below it. Hang it so the centre of the frame sits at approximately 150 cm from the floor — comfortable eye level for most adults.
In a long, narrow hallway
A series of three to five uniformly-sized framed prints, hung in a straight horizontal line with consistent spacing of 5–8 cm between frames, creates a gallery effect that elongates the space visually. Our A3 (29.7 × 42 cm) and A2 (42 × 59.4 cm) sizes work particularly well for this arrangement.
On a staircase wall
Follow the angle of the staircase, hanging prints in a stepped diagonal pattern. Keep the spacing between each frame consistent and align either the tops or the centres of the frames for a polished finish.
Why our framed art works
Unlike unframed prints or canvas wraps, our ready-to-hang framed art requires no additional purchases and no trips to a framer. Every piece arrives with the frame already fitted, the glazing already in place, and the hanging hardware already attached. Our frames are manufactured in England from locally sourced solid wood, available in classic black or natural wood finishes to complement any hallway colour scheme.
The Giclée printing process we use ensures that every colour is rendered with exceptional accuracy and depth. The archival-quality inks are fade-resistant, meaning your hallway wall art will look just as vivid in ten years as it does on the day it arrives.
Frequently asked questions
For most standard hallways, an A3 (29.7 × 42 cm) or A2 (42 × 59.4 cm) framed print provides excellent visual impact without overwhelming the space. For larger entrance halls, our A1 (59.4 × 84.1 cm) prints make a truly spectacular statement piece.
Yes. Our solid wood frames and high-quality perspex glazing are robust and designed to last. We recommend avoiding direct exposure to prolonged moisture, but the materials are well-suited to the typical temperature and humidity variations found in a UK hallway.
Every framed print arrives ready to hang, complete with all necessary fixings attached to the back of the frame. You will simply need appropriate wall plugs or nails for your wall type.
